The voice, spoken or sung, is our calling card and unmistakable.
It remains in our ears for a long time, even in the digital space.
This workshop is intended to inspire enthusiasm for "voice training", that is, the targeted and thoughtful training of the voice. The "core topics" of singing: posture, breathing, voice, will be explained clearly, understandably and directly. The exercises are deliberately limited to a few very important ones, which can be implemented very well both in individual lessons and in groups, and which have proven themselves in many years of teaching practice.
Mastering the balance between the necessity of voice training and the joy of singing, between necessary repetition and invigorating change, is a constant challenge for every voice trainer and singing teacher.
Juliane Berg has been an enthusiastic singer from an early age (studied singing in Freiburg and Bern/CH) and works as the main voice coach at the "Singschule Koblenz e.V.". Here about 200 children and young people between the ages of 4-21 sing. For more than 25 years she has held a teaching position for singing at the universities of Münster (until 2002) and Siegen (since 2003). She is also a regular lecturer and voice coach for choirs, courses, and continuing education events, as well as a juror for choir competitions.
Her voice training book "The Vocal Tree" was published in May 2019.
