Friends´Association

On December 8, 2016 the founding meeting of the "Freundeskreis der Landesmusikakademie e.V." (friends´association) took place.

Since its establishment in Engers in 2003, the Landesmusikakademie has developed into a musical institution that is highly regarded and popular nationwide. It is a unique location not only for musicians and music educators, who receive valuable impulses through the diverse further education program, but also for the fruitful working phases of countless choirs, orchestras, music clubs and other music groups.

The nationwide cultural-political significance is flanked by a steadily growing supraregional charisma. The aspect of performance training is becoming more and more important within music cultural education and leads to an increasing number of public performances of what has been tried or learned. This also gives the culturally interested population in the vicinity of the location the opportunity to follow the work at the State Music Academy at close quarters. It is equally outstanding artistic performances as exciting learning and working processes that fascinate the audience.

Like almost all cultural institutions, the Landesmusikakademie is not free of financial limitations in its work. In addition, there is a latent need for rehearsal rooms at the Engers location, which often demands a high level of improvisation from the staff.

The Friends of the Landesmusikakademie accompany their work benevolently by:

• enabling the acquisition of instruments or furnishings important for musical work
• enabling the participation of financially disadvantaged people in individual cases
• selective support of work phases of ensembles
• beeing present at public events and supporting their organization

As a thank you for your support there will be invitations to exclusive events for the friends´association of the Landesmusikakademie, which can take place in the vicinity of the Neuwied-Engers location or even lead to other parts of the country. Furthermore, we will provide you with insights into the work of selected ensembles or courses.

Donation receipts for tax deductibility can be issued for your contribution. For donations up to 100,- Euro, the presentation of the booking confirmation of a credit institute to the tax office is sufficient. Membership can be terminated in writing with one month's notice to the end of each fiscal year.
