Singing Class

The course provides fundamentals and advanced insights into the vocal class concept co-developed by the instructor. The core of the concept enables the students to develop a concrete tonal imagination with the help of relative solmization. Music theory material is always practically linked and therefore memorized in a lasting way. In addition, the students learn to make music with their voices in a high-quality way. A class that is barely able to sing a common note at the beginning usually develops a convincing polyphony by the end of sixth grade. Participants will also receive individual and group voice training that will provide interesting impetus for voice development in the voice class.

Teaching team:

Gregor Müller works as a music teacher at a high school in Mainz. He lectures nationwide on the subject of singing classes and has many years of experience in the field of children's and youth choirs. Together with Roland Bolender he is the author of the "Leitfaden Gesangsklasse" (Helbling Verlag).
The soprano Anne Hellmann from Mainz dedicates herself intensively to vocal pedagogy, among other things regularly as a voice coach on behalf of the International Bach Academy Stuttgart under the direction of Hans-Christoph Rademann as well as several times at advanced training courses of the LMAK and the Hessian Ministry of Culture. In addition, she teaches singers of various levels of training in her own vocal studio ARS.VOCALIS.
