Advent singing

Time of silence - time of songs
Music 50plus

The Christmas festive season is more richly decorated with songs than any other time of year.

The course offers the opportunity to sing old and new Advent and Christmas carols together with others and under expert guidance. Everyone who has always enjoyed singing is invited. Choir experience is desirable, but not a prerequisite.

The human voice offers a lifelong opportunity to express oneself, to communicate, to experience sounds together and to travel in the sound space. Here, "right" and "wrong" are much less important than that I feel myself in singing.

In addition to singing, each participant is invited to bring along their own musical instrument, so that at the end of the programme it can be used as a "musical enrichment". The performance of a Christmas motet by Haydn, Handel, Praetorius or Schütz is planned.

Teaching team:

Willi Becker studied school music, choral conducting and singing. For many years he has worked with various choir formations. From 1985 to 1995, he was the overall director of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Youth Choir. He worked in the project management of music in the "Kultursommer Rheinland-Pfalz".
Nadja Jamiro holds a diploma in vocal pedagogy and passed the concert maturity exam. Her interest in the stylistic diversity of singing in different genres resulted in further extensive studies at the "Complete Vocal Institute" in Copenhagen in 2014-2017, where she graduated as a "Complete Vocal Technique Teacher".
