The course is aimed at guitarists who want to participate in the competition "Jugend musiziert". Solists and ensembles who want to prepare for another special concert event are also invited. The musical work is mainly organized as "open lessons", so that the participants do not only benefit from their own lessons.

Volker Höh is one of the most versatile German guitarists. As a soloist, with orchestras and in chamber music formations, he is at home on the international concert and festival stages - also as a cultural ambassador for the Goethe-Institut. He works as a lecturer, adjudicator and publisher of guitar literature. The guitar ensemble "cantomano", which he founded, has won awards at international competitions - first prize at the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th German Orchestra Competitions in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2021. He holds teaching positions at the University of Koblenz (1998-2011) and at the Landesmusikgymnasium Rheinland-Pfalz in Montabaur. In 2013 he was awarded the GlückSpirale prize "for special services to music culture in Rhineland-Palatinate".  |
