Home recording and audio production for beginners and advanced users

Qualität von Anfang an

in co-operation with the University of Koblenz

The course is aimed at anyone who wants to produce, record, edit and develop their music digitally at home or at school. Previous experience in the field of digital audio production / DAW is an advantage, but not necessary. There will be an introduction to audio equipment and software, recording techniques, editing and processing, mixing and producing, each of which will be illustrated with small practical exercises. The focus of the course is on developing your own small music projects, including the use of virtual instruments and midi.

Please bring your own computer with USB A connection or an appropriate adapter, as well as any other equipment (wired headphones, interface, midi controller/keyboard) that may be provided on site.

It is necessary to use a free DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) called Pro Tools Intro, which can be downloaded free of charge from the manufacturer's website Avid (https://my.avid.com/get/pro-tools-intro), so that you can follow the same steps together. In terms of software, any DAW can also be used.
