Dances from Israel

in co-operation with the LAG Tanz RLP e.V.

Dances from Israel are as diverse as the country and its people. Arabic debkas, Sephardic and Hasidic songs, Yemenite dances and much more.... - immigrants brought with them a piece of their music and culture, most of which was carefully cultivated and preserved, yet adapted to the new homeland. Selected circle and row dances show us an excerpt of the Israeli dance variety and convey its rhythm and dynamics. The program consists of dances on an intermediate level - corresponding dance experience are required.

Teaching team:

Gitta Ott has been teaching dances from Israel for many years and is, among other things, 2nd chairwoman of the Erlanger Tanzhaus, which sees itself as a contact for all dance enthusiasts in the gap between dance schools and stage dance. With her own mixture of patience and temperament, she not only teaches dance steps, but also regularly infects her fellow dancers with her enthusiasm.
