JAZZ 30 - Jazz in duo and small ensemble

with the Fink-Körner-Duo

The course is designed for all musicians who have or want to gain experience in jazz improvisation.

Learning content and practice methods are individually tailored to the needs and interests of the participants.

The goals are to learn essential playing techniques required for playing in a duo or small ensemble without a rhythm section, to adapt music titles for duo playing, to develop one's own "musical language", and to design and present a concert program.

Content focuses on developing interplay in timing, phrasing, sound, blending and interaction. Tips on how to catch and stabilize, on rhythmically and harmonically supporting accompaniment and solos, or on designing intros and outros round out the program. Every instrument is welcome - also singers!
