Chamber Music Course Viola Da Gamba Consort

Here, specialists give a chamber music course for viola da gamba consort, focusing on the promotion of ensemble playing. Therefore, the participants - students, pupils and ambitious amateurs who are intensively engaged in playing the viola da gamba - must have good skills in playing from the reed in different clefs. You can register as a member of an ensemble, but also as an individual.

In addition to playing in an ensemble, there is also the opportunity to improve technical details in the group lessons. In addition, there is still enough time to make music in individual groups.

Teaching team:

Michael Brüssing followed his school music studies in Stuttgart with cello studies in Vienna. He received his diploma for viola da gamba from Prof. Philippe Pierlot.

As one of the leading Dutch performers on the viola da gamba and artistic director of The Spirit of GAMBO, Freek Borstlap performs all over the world as a soloist and in ensembles. He has increasingly concentrated on 17th century English consort music. As a teacher and performer he is a defender of 'forgotten' chamber music, from composers such as C. Simpson, J. Jenkins and O. Gibbons.
