Fabian Gehring studied in Karlsruhe with Olga Rissin-Morenova (junior studies) and with Anna Vinnitskaya at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. He completed his studies in 2021 with the concert exam. His current projects are supported by scholarships from the German Music Council, the German Orchestra Foundation and the Hamburg cultural initiative TONALi. The young pianist's playing is characterized by a poetic sense of sound, deep penetration of content and structural clarity. Many of his programs are characterized by curiosity and the courage to be unconventional. They take up almost forgotten masterpieces or open up fresh perspectives on the familiar in collaboration with other arts. The pianist is particularly interested in promoting young musicians. After teaching at the music academies in Hamburg and Bremen, he has been teaching piano at the Landesmusikgymnasium Rheinland-Pfalz since June 2024. Fabian Gehring has won prizes at various national and international competitions and has performed in Germany, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, Great Britain, France and Italy. He received important musical impulses in master classes from Felix Gottlieb, Matthias Kirschnereit, Bernd Götzke, Grigory Gruzman, Burkhard Kehring and Thomas Seyboldt, among others. Fabian Gehring is a Young Steinway Artist and was a scholarship holder of the DAAD and Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Hamburg.

In various master classes (e.g. Fondation Royaumont, Mozarteum Salzburg), Andreas Frese pursues his passion for teaching lied literature and chamber music. He also teaches piano at the Landesmusikgymnasium Rheinland-Pfalz and vocal accompaniment at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main. |
