Competition preparation piano with Swetlana Meermann-Muret

The course is aimed at young advanced pianists and students who are preparing for 'Jugend musiziert', as well as at anyone who wants to improve their piano skills or needs performance training. Every day, they receive valuable instructions from the international concert pianist, who has extensive teaching experience and passionately shares her knowledge. She lives in France, but has a long-standing connection to Rhineland-Palatinate.

Teaching team:

Swetlana Meermann-Muret has taught at the music academies in Karlsruhe and Lyon, at the Landesmusikgymnasium Montabaur and at the Conservatoires Régionales in Lyon and Grenoble. She gives master classes at the Crescendo Summer Institute in Hungary, at the Landesmusikakademie in Neuwied and has been a regular member of the press jury at the renowned Long-Thibaud Competition and Concours des Grands Amateurs in Paris for several years.

Her piano playing reflects three cultures: French, German and Russian. At the age of 11, the pianist was awarded first prize at the first piano competition named K. Igumnov in her home town of Lipetsk (Russia) and went on to win numerous prizes at national and international competitions in solo, chamber music and song accompaniment in Russia, Germany, Italy and France.

Svetlana is a sought-after soloist, chamber musician and teacher. She has performed in more than fifteen countries and worked as an accompanist and teacher in Germany and France. She received her artistic (KA) and pedagogical (IGP) training at the Musikhochschule Frankfurt with Irina Edelstein and her concert exam at the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe with Michael Uhde and Markus Stange (2010). She then studied in Paris with Brigitte Engerer and in Lyon with Géry Moutier.

Swetlana Meermann-Muret was a scholarship holder of the ZIRP (Zukunftsinitiative Rheinland-Pfalz) and the Villa-Musica and has performed as a soloist with the Orchestra of the Rheinische Philharmonie and the Orchestra of the Philharmonie Baden-Baden, among others. Her last CD with 24 miniatures by Liadov and Arenski - a successful production by SWR2 and Genuin - received excellent reviews and was “Album of the Week” on WDR Kultur.
