The course is primarily aimed at participants of the competition "Youth Makes Music", which in 2026 will feature both single and mixed woodwind instruments as well as a mix of woodwind and brass instruments. Aspiring and current students are also warmly invited. In addition to competition preparation, they will work on foundational brass techniques, repertoire, interpretation, and various practice methods. New impulses and inspiration for the next performance will be provided.

Clarinettist David Arbeiter was born in Neuwied. He attended the Landesmusikgymnasium Rheinland-Pfalz in Montabaur from the age of 10 and received his first instrumental lessons there at the age of 10 with Iris Egermann. During his school years, he already played in various youth orchestras and ensembles throughout Germany. In 2005, he won the 1st national prize at “Jugend Musiziert”. After graduating from high school, he studied at the Lübeck University of Music in the clarinet class of Prof. Sabine Meyer and Prof. Reiner Wehle. He gained professional orchestral experience in the Kiel Philharmonic Orchestra, as principal clarinettist in the Eutin Festival Orchestra, the German Pops Orchestra and, as a long-standing member, the Philharmonie der Nationen under the direction of Justus Frantz, and is also a founding member of the Kammerphilharmonie Lübeck (KaPhiL!). From the very beginning, he has enjoyed playing all styles of music. Contemporary, classical music, as well as klezmer, salon music and crossover. In addition to his clarinet activities, he has always been active as a clarinet teacher and has been an instrumental teacher at the Landesmusikgymnasium Rheinland-Pfalz in Montabaur since 2019.
