The course is aimed at flutists who want to take part in the “Jugend musiziert” competition - 2026 for equal and mixed woodwind instruments as well as mixed woodwind and brass instruments. Soloists and ensembles who want to prepare for another special concert event are also invited. The musical work is mainly organized as “open lessons” so that participants benefit from more than just their own lessons.

Karoline Schaeferdiek studied in Düsseldorf. She was a prizewinner at the 8th International Flute Competition in Uelzen in the “Flute Quartet” category. She currently plays in several ensembles, including the flute quartet “Just4Flutes” and the flute ensemble “FlutEmotion” with ten flutes and two double basses. Since 1993, she has been in charge of a flute class at the Landesmusikgymnasium Rheinland-Pfalz and leads the flute ensemble “flautastique” there.
Wolfgang Wendel has made a name for himself as a soloist and lecturer at international festivals for the interpretation of contemporary music. Composing contemporary works is also part of his field of activity. Radio and CD recordings have been made as a result of his work in contemporary music ensembles such as “Aventure” and “Nunc” as well as his participation in various festivals for contemporary music.
