Israeli dances

in cooperation with the LAG Tanz Rheinland-Pfalz e.V.

Dances from Israel are as diverse as the country and its people. Arabic debkas, Sephardic and Hasidic songs, Yemenite dances and much more.... - each immigrant brought with him a piece of his music and culture, most of which was carefully cultivated and preserved, yet adapted to and blended with the new homeland. Selected circle and row dances show us a sample of the Israeli dance variety and convey its rhythm and dynamics. The program consists of dances on an intermediate level - corresponding dance experience should therefore be available.

Teaching team:	Gitta Ott has been teaching dances from Israel for many years and is, among other things, 2nd chairwoman of the Erlanger Tanzhaus, which sees itself as a contact for all dance enthusiasts in the gap between dance schools and stage dance. With her own mixture of patience and temperament, she not only teaches dance steps, but also regularly infects her fellow dancers with her enthusiasm.
